31st Mustelid Colloquium

On behalf of the Organizing Committee we are pleased to invite you to the next annual Mustelid Colloquium to be held in Szczecin, Poland on Friday 25th and Saturday 26th October 2013.

The Colloquium is co-organized by the Department of Genetics and Animal Breeding of the West Pomeranian University of Technology in Szczecin, the Polish Society for Conservation Genetics LUTREOLA, the Green Federation "GAJA" and the West Pomeranian Society for Nature Conservation. The conference is hosted by the Teaching and Research Center of Nanotechnology, West Pomeranian University of Technology in Szczecin.

We are organizing these focused, theme-based scientific conference in recognition of:

• The growing threat of extinction, often poorly described and known species of the weasel family.
• The need to share and expand the knowledge and practice of Mustelids biology, ecology, evolution, conservation and management, as well as other Mustelid issues.
• The need to encourage young scientists to undertake research in the specified range.
• The need for integration of researchers and enthusiasts associated with a broad range of studies on members of the Mustelidae family

The scientific program includes invited plenary speakers, contributing presentations and poster sessions. Both oral and poster presentations are strongly encouraged. We are keen to include both original contributions and comprehensive reviews. For more information please see the Call for Abstracts section. Papers referring to accepted abstracts may be submitted for publication and awards for the best posters will be given. The social events and field trip will provide opportunity to network with colleagues. We also hope you will enjoy the many sights in and around Szczecin. The conference language is English and all presentations should be in English.

Organizing Committee hopes to welcome colleagues from throughout the world, with diverse interests in the biology, conservation and management of Mustelids. We look forward to seeing you there.
